Career
Mohammad Rizwan started playing international cricket for Pakistan in April 2015. He scored 67 runs off 58 balls in his first One Day International (ODI) match against Bangladesh. He also made his debut in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) during the same series. However, he was dismissed without scoring any runs in his first Test match against New Zealand in November 2016.
In August 2018, Rizwan received a central contract from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2018-19 season. He captained the Pakistani team in the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, where the team reached the semi-finals. In March 2019, he scored his first century in an ODI match, making 115 runs against Australia.
Rizwan’s cricket career has its ups and downs. He was selected to play for Pakistan again in November 2019 against Sri Lanka and played a strong innings of 95 runs in the second innings of the First Test against Australia. In 2020, he was chosen for Pakistan’s tour to England but unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19.
