Who should play Batman in James Gunn's DCU?
I'm not huge on many of the common casting ideas for Batman in The Brave and the Bold movie, but one star who's caught my eye is Lee Pace. He's the right age for an older Batman to fit the DCU's story, and he's got the physicality to be one of the most imposing iterations of the character, much like Affleck's.

Who should play Rogue in the MCU's X-Men reboot?
As development continues on the Marvel Cinematic Universe-set reboot of the X-Menfranchise, fans continue to voice their picks for who should play the iconic mutant superhero team, including Rogue. While some minds may gravitate to the likes of Jenna Ortega or Millie Bobby Brown for the role, I'd personally be intrigued to see Mckenna Grace's take on the character, as she's not only shown an incredible acting range in the recentGhostbustersmovie andA Friend of the Family, but also an interesting mix of introverted and extroverted personalities with her characters that I think would suit Rogue perfectly. Additionally, given the MCU has recast actors in the past, Grace's prior role as a young Carol Danvers could easily be a non-issue.

When will the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer release?
After a two-year wait,Sonic the Hedgehog 3's release is finally right around the corner, currently set for a December 20 date, and yet no proper trailer has been released for the threequel by Paramount, save for a brief snippet of footage shown at CinemaCon in April. Though there is some concern this is pointing to a release date delay, I think it's more likely Paramount is saving the trailer to be released around the same time as Transformers One, given the prequel's family-friendly tone and leaving just enough time untilSonic the Hedgehog 3's arrival to build anticipation.

How was Batman alive at the end of The Dark Knight Rises?
The Dark Knight Rises featured Batman's sacrifice to save Gotham, or at least it seemed to do so, as Bruce Wayne was later seen alive and well in the company of Selina Kyle. There are some theories as to how Bruce was alive, including a possible Lazarus Pit in connection to The Dark Knight trilogy's Ra's al Ghul and Bane's "The Pit" prison. However, The Dark Knight Rises teased how Christian Bale's Batman faked his death, as The Bat's autopilot had been fixed while Lucius Fox thought it was broken, so Bruce could have ejected himself before the bomb exploded.

Is Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom good casting?
During Marvel’s 2024 Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom in the MCU. Though Doctor Doom is a good replacement for Kang, Robert Downey Jr.’s casting has caused mixed reactions. I’m happy to see RDJ back in the MCU, but I might have a hard time seeing him as anyone but Iron Man. I hope Doctor Doom will be an Iron Man variant in the MCU rather than the franchise ignoring Robert Downey Jr.’s history as the superhero.
Why did Harold and the Purple Crayon flop?
The live-action adaptation of Harold and the Purple Crayon is officially a box office flop, having made only $9 million in its global opening. Oddly enough, it has a strong 92% Audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes against just a 25% Critic rating. Critics have called it bleak and boring, but audiences overwhelmingly see it as a fun family movie. Unfortunately, it’s competing with box office juggernaut Inside Out 2. Sony probably would have been better off releasing Harold and the Purple Crayon in the winter, as it’s a strange choice for a summer movie.

Which game character should Sonic the Hedgehog 3 introduce?
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is right around the corner and all eyes are on the incoming arrival of Shadow the Hedgehog, who will be voiced by Keanu Reeves. That said, though, there are a number of cast actors whose roles have yet to be confirmed, as well as a variety of game characters who have yet to appear in the franchise. I personally am holding out hope for Amy to appear to see how the filmmakers tackle that dynamic, and the already-cast Krysten Ritter could prove an interesting take on the character.

Where was Ahsoka during the original trilogy?
In the 40 years since the original trilogy ended, Star Was has introduced a number of iconic characters across its long-ranging timeline, and The Clone Wars' Ahsoka remains one of fans' favorites. Following a hiatus in her tenure, Ahsoka has recently been seen in the Mandalorian post-Empire era, leaving many to wonder where she was during the original trilogy of movies. Given Ahsoka was still so rattled by her master's turn to the Dark Side, it seems likely she was in hiding in the same vein as Obi-Wan Kenobi while she better honed her skills.

Fast & Furious 11is expected to be the final mainline installment of the long-running action franchise, and already looks to be racing towards a filming start next year. Vin Diesel recently confirmed having seen some concept art for the movie, including seemingly teasing it will involve Paul Walker's Brian after the character's absence since Walker's death in 2013. WhileFurious 7had the difficult task of concluding its filming and sending Brian off in a meaningful fashion, it did so pretty well with some well-executed CGI of the late actor, which makes the possibility of his return troublesome. As a fan of the franchise, it's hard to deny Brian's absence has been felt deeply these past few films, but out of respect for Walker and avoiding undermining the emotional ending he got, I don't think he should come back forFast & Furious 11.

Will Zachary Levi's Shazam return in the DCU after James Gunn's recent canon comments?
Despite the sequel's mid-credits scene seemingly confirming his future in the new franchise, James Gunn recently confirmed thatShazam! Fury of the Gods' tag of Harcourt and Economos recruiting Zachary Levi's titular hero for the Justice Society will not be canon in the DC Universe. As such, the question now becomes whether Shazam will actually return for the DCU, or if Gunn will leave him behind. Despite being one of the better reviewed subfranchises of the now-defunct DC Extended Universe, I do think it's more likely that Levi won't be back, as his actual plans for the DCU don't seem to leave much room open for Shazam to appear, unless Gunn greenlights future installments under the Elseworlds label.
Is Jensen Ackles playing Batman in the DCU?
Batman will debut in the new DC Universe's The Brave and the Bold movie. The Boys star Jensen Ackles has been rumored to play Bruce Wayne, which James Gunn, the DCU's creative chief, has shot down. Ackles could still be cast as Batman; however, no actor has been chosen at the moment, with casting for the new Batman only starting when the movie has its script ready. Based on his dark and action-heavy roles in Supernatural and The Boys, as well as being the voice of Batman in DC's animated Tomorrowverse, Ackles would be perfect for the DCU's Dark Knight.

While theFast and Furiousfranchise may have been his claim to fame, and most popular role, Paul Walker had a number of great movies he was a part of before his death in 2013. While I think 2006's Running Scaredmay be his most underrated movie to date, I think 2001'sJoy Rideis definitely my favorite, as it had a great Hitchcockian vibe to it and had a very tense pacing, with Walker and Steve Zahn also having great rapport as brothers.

Who should take over playing Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street?
Robert Englund recently confirmed that he would not be playing Freddy Krueger in theNightmare on Elm Streetfranchise again in the future beyond a potential animated movie, leaving the door open for someone else to take on the role. Though the prior attempt to relaunch the franchise with the Jackie Earle Haley-led 2010 remake was largely dismissed by critics, Haley's performance has stood out as one of the few good things about it for me, and I would certainly be open to him coming back. If not, other people I think would be great are Englund's own secondary pick, Kevin Bacon, particularly as it would be a fun full-circle moment to see him go from slasher victim in the originalFriday the 13thto an iconic slasher, Richard Brake, who is often incredibly haunting in the indie horror genre sphere, or if they want to go in a more quippy direction as the later sequels did, I would love to see Doug Jones or Matthew Lillard.

Deadpool & Wolverinedelivered on a bit of fan-casting with Henry Cavill appearing as a multiverse version of Hugh Jackman'sX-Menhero. While it seems unlikely he'll reprise the role beyond the movie, fans have been sharing their thoughts on who Cavill should play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he made his debut as Superman in the DC Extended Universe'sMan of Steel. Though Captain Britain and Cyclops remain the more popular choices, I personally think it would be intriguing to see him either play Nova, particularly since there's a TV show in the works for the character, or even Mephisto, as I think he could both deliver on the Devil's power as much as evil charm.

What is Florence Pugh's best movie?
Florence Pugh has had quite the acting career. She has been featured in a long list of incredible films and always, always delivering a phenomenal performance, even if she is the only decent thing about the movie, like in Don't Worry Darling. As a Marvel geek, I love her as Yelena Belova, I think she was the perfect choice for that character, but I do not think that is her best movie. She is great in Dune: Part Two,and I cannot wait to see more of her in the next part, and Oppenheimer, but neither of those are my selection either. I think Florence Pugh's best movie is Midsommar. She offers something truly raw and visceral in that film that shook me to my core. That is when she solidified herself as a force to be reckoned with in the acting world, in my opinion.

Should Resident Evil 9 focus on Mia Winters or an original franchise character?
FollowingKoshi Nakanishi's confirmation that he would be returning forResident Evil9this past July, fans have been clamoring for more information on the upcoming sequel, namely who will be the protagonist after Ethan Winters' death in Village. Considering the game set up a powered Rose to carry on the story, as well as a potentially revived Ethan, I do think Rose will likely be the protagonist for the next game, though personally, I would almost prefer to see a new game focused on Chris to catch us up on what's been going on with him sinceRE6. His sudden appearance in the final act ofBiohazardand nearly villainous turn inVillagereally left me wondering why the creative minds took such a drastic shift with him, and a midquel being centered on a particularly dark mission would go a long way to helping give me some semblance of closure and understanding for this development.

Which death rattled you the most in Until Dawn?
Beware of spoilers ahead! With the new Until Dawn Remake release, many returning players are getting to enjoy the game a second time (albeit with only moderately improved graphics; the original was gorgeous), and new players hopping in for the first time. Like most Supermassive games, decisions play heavily on the outcome of the game, with essentially every character at risk of dying at different stages. Some deaths in particular are quite harrowing. For me, the one that scared me the most was Ashley's death in the mines. While escaping the lodge, Ash hears the voice of Jessica calling for help from another tunnel. We just saw that Jessica was still alive, so many players quickly want to rescue her, as her attack is what kicked off the whole story. However, if you lead Ashley down the tunnel, there is a latched trap door. If you decide to commit to opening the door, despite several moments where you can turn back, the Wendigo will jump out of the open hatch and decapitate her. This dea

Who should play Rouge the Bat in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie franchise?
The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3is set to keep the movie franchise at its height with the introduction of more video game characters and storylines, the most notable being Keanu Reeves' Shadow the Hedgehog. Even still, there are a number of characters yet to be introduced, with fans sharing their hopes for certain casting choices, including Rouge the Bat. While Scarlett Johansson and Aubrey Plaza are at the top of many lists, I personally feel like Angelina Jolie would be perfect for the role, as she could nail the smooth-talking nature of Rouge along with her subtly powerful dynamic.

Should Darth Vader get his own Star Wars series or movie?
Hayden Christensen's return as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalkerin bothObi-Wan KenobiandAhsokahas been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans, and Christensen himself has voiced a desire to return to the galaxy far, far away in the future. While a Darth Vader solo series or movie sounds tempting, I'd be very concerned about execution considering just how crucial the character is to the overall Star Warscanon.

The MCU has finally introduced Wiccan, but where's Speed?
Thanks to Agatha All Along episode 5, the MCU has finally debuted its version of Wiccan, son of the Scarlet Witch. While much more still needs to be answered about Wiccan and where he came from, I'm also curious about his twin brother Speed. In the comics, teenagers Billy Kaplan (Wiccan) and Tommy Shepard (Speed) were the reincarnated sons of Wanda Maximoff after she lost them when they were children. While Speed could perhaps come back by the end of Agatha All Along, I could easily see him making an appearance in 2026'sVision Quest,WandaVision'sother spin-off series currently in development.
